Work Out A Lot?

I know that exercise is good for you.  However, I am not sure how much of a good thing is too much.  Whether they use steroids or just food supplements, I believe these people might have crossed the line.  What do you think?  Pictures of both male and female body builder.  They have muscles I don’t even recognize.

Several of these are photoshopped (e.g. the African American guy with the giant weights and guy with incredibly tiny waist and bouldered upper body), but the ones that are truly disturbing and idiotic to me are the ones you mentioned the unnatural “bulges” in (gross as some of the others are, I actually kind of respect the ridiculous determination and effort it takes for those bodybuilders to become so grotesquely ripped).

The bulge- particularly obvious in the moron who has no actual muscle mass but a deliberately inflated bicep/tricep- is due to a product called synthol. It is an oil that people inject into their muscles to give them an enlarged appearance. It started out in body-building circuits, primarily, as a way for guys with lagging calves to look more “up to snuff” in competitions. It’s seriously looked down upon (ironic, considering the rampant use of steroids). The moron in a couple of the images with the “inhuman arms?” That idiot has the largest bicep/arm width measured, and literally burst his bicep muscle once from injecting so much synthol into it.

  2. Got to say I honestly can’t get my head round it. They look inhuman, I really don’t understand why you would go to such extremes to make yourself look like an over pumped inflatable action figure. And on the attractive to women point, I can’t say I’d go near any of these men, on a pure fear of being crushed! 🙂
