Lord of the Rings Inspired Hotel Lets Fans Stay in a Hobbit Treehouse Right in the U.S.
If you’re a fan of Middle Earth, you no longer have to travel all the way to New Zealand to experience living in your very own Hobbit house. This Lord of the Rings inspired hotel allows fans to stay in a hobbit treehouse in the beautiful Black Hills of western South Dakota.
The rental property is owned by Gordon Mack, a man who was inspired by the popular Lord of the Rings films. It sits 16 feet above the ground and has rounded doors and windows, with an interior space that is absolutely amazing. ‘Ring’ fans are sure to be in paradise. It includes incredible details like: Elvish-language signs; a mask worn by Sauron; and a gauntlet with the gold ring. You can even get especially cozy by popping on some Hobbit-feet slippers that are custom tailored for just about every size and age group.
To stay in this unforgettable abode, you’ll have to book the country house that it’s attached to known as the Chateau De Soleil. Ideal for a family reunion or other get togethers, the four-bedroom building can accommodate up to 16 people at a time. The kids, or the kids at heart can enjoy the treehouse.

Celebrities Come Out for My Own Pet Project – Dog Rescue!
Paws and applause! Leggy Olivia Munn and Emmy Rossum show their pet friendly style at the All-Star Dog Rescue Celebration
Olivia Munn and Emmy Rossum shared the spotlight with some furry animal friends on Saturday.
Both ladies showed off their legs in short ensembles as they attended the All-Star Dog Rescue Celebration at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
Olivia, who is soon to be seen in Zoolander 2, was an inspiration in a thigh-skimming white dress with sheer detail while Shameless star Emmy rocked a monochrome number that stopped short of her knees.

Pet friendly: Olivia Munn brought her cute pooch Chance to Saturday’s All-Star Dog Rescue Celebration in Santa Monica, CA and Emmy Rossum cradled a furry friend too
The 35-year-old Munn brought along her adorable dog Chance who seemed to enjoy the attention very much.
The small tricolour pooch sat calmly at Olivia’s heels and took note of everybody and everything.
The Newsroom star adopted Chance after spotting him at the Fox Network’s Cause For Paws special a year ago.

Mingling: Kaley Cuoco wasn’t hard to spot in her white blazer and culottes ensemble and neither was Kathy Griffin in her exotic black and purple print dress
‘I wasn’t looking for a dog at all,’ Olivia told Good Housekeeping earlier this year, adding: ‘And then I saw this little guy and was like, “I have to have him.”‘
Emmy, meanwhile, had a cute little buddy on her arm as she posed on the red paw-printed carpet in red heels.
The 29-year-old actress didn’t mind a few dog hairs on that chic outfit as she cuddled up to the sweet pup for the cameras.

Something to bark about: Carrie Ann Inaba showed off her slender figure in a black jumpsuit along with her fluffy white pup

The more the merrier: The Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan brought along his well behaved animal friend and his girlfriend Jahira Dar too

Hello Ross: Ross Matthews was all smiles as he joined the fun with his cute pooch

Something to sing about: Singer Emmylou Harris looked country chic in cowgirl boots at the event
Emmy is a huge proponent of the ‘adopt, don’t shop’ method when searching for new pet addition.
‘Just overall, knowing that you did something for an animal in need is such a fulfilling feeling,’ Emmy told E! News in February.
‘You think you are rescuing them, but really – this sounds cheesy – but they kind of end up rescuing you.’
Others who attended the pet friendly event – and believe in that mantra – included Kathy Griffin, Carrie Ann Inaba, singer Emmylou Harris, The Dog Whisperer Cesar Milan and actress Linda Blair.
Kathy looked bright and festive in a purple and black frock, while Carrie Ann delighted in a black jumpsuit alongside her sweet white pup.
Ross Matthews (Hello Ross, The Tonight Show) was all smiles as he hit the red carpet with his little dog.

Happy go lucky: Heads were turning but in a good way for The Exorcist star Linda Blair and her smiley dog pal

Volkswagon Cheating Humor
As some of you know, Volkswagon created a software that cheats so that ONLY when it is being smog tested, the diesel versions emit no pollution. Â When not tested, they emit a cloud of smoke like the Great Fire of Chicago.

Vintage footage shows Disneyland’s first days
Ever thought about the history behind “The Happiest Place on Earth?”
Disneyland, Walt Disney’s magical metropolis, opened on July 17, 1955. Costing a total $17 million, the theme park was built on 160 acres of former orange groves in Anaheim, California.
Today the park is host to more than 14 million visitors annually, who spend close to $3 billion each year.
With the amount that the Disney Empire has grown, it is easy to forget the park’s humble beginnings.
Now we can relive all the early memories, thanks to over an hour of vintage video footage collected by Disney’s former Senior Vice President of Creative Development, Tony Baxter, for a presentation at the 2011 D23 Expo in the Anaheim Convention Center.
The film documents the construction and renovation of Disneyland, with scenes of Imagineers building and decorating the Pirates of the Caribbean galleon as construction workers tightrope-walk on the Monorail tracks.
The nostalgia is palpable in Baxter’s presentation, vintage reels showing opening day, as thousands of excited visitors waited in mile-long lines to enter the park.
A heartwarming walk down memory lane, the footage brings to life a sense of delight and excitement felt by park’s very first visitors.
