1887: Cartoonist Illustrates Final Completion of the NY City Elevated Railway

A cartoonist draws the final stages of completing the elevated railway system in New York City.  I am not sure if he was meaning to mock the railway, or if he actually thought it would be a good idea to have a station ending inside the Statue of Liberty.  I hope even in 1887 this looked stupid.
