This is an occasional post of mine on places you can see yourself using as an Evil Base. Evil bases need to be remote, defensible and either evil looking, or strange, or at the very least comfortable. You need to be able to plot from them with peace of mind so your plans for world domination can be complete. For earlier posts, type “evil bases” into the search box. Enjoy! Bwahahahaha!
- The spaceship house, for quick getaways
- The built into stone complex.
- The abandoned overgrown wilderness mill house.
- The zipper stairs leading to the top, very defensible
- The Lunar Tower, great for astronomical devices
- The palatial estate
- The Nereid, sprite or wild spirit gone bad.
- The cliff side village, plenty of rooms for minions
- The grotto, with sharks with freakin laser beams on their heads
- The Seemingly overgrown and abandoned ancient temple
- The Haunted Mansion
- The secret entrance through the tree. Hey, they tortured people here in Princess Bride.
- The castle on an Island
- The hollowed-out mountain fortress with your own fresh water
- A dungeon, the “abandoned mine” leads to a torch lit stairway leading down…
- The Mysterious Wealthy Genius from Abroad
- Back of an asteroid, sweet hiding spot
- The heart of a volcano, perfect.
- Rugged mountain fortress with only water access.
- Mount Fuji, secret base under the Ice Cap.
- Inside the Grand Canyon, millions look, but no one realizes…
- Blue Jagged Rocks, the results of foul experiments deep in the Earth
- Underground pyramids bases, surrounded by fields easily disturbed by intruders
- The massive “office building” with towers for lookouts.
- Places with security, especially if they make light of it with signs.
- Camouflaged buildings, look like turf from above, with misty rock fortress behind.
- This thing has to have an evil base in it, and only accessed by flimsy cable contraption.
- The bat cave. What would happen if the Dark Knight turned bad, or if another found and used the lair?
- The whale top island
- Classic, skull shaped lair
- The apparently normal sunken ship, but inside…
- The underwater secret entrance for your own Nautilus
- The ING building. Can be used as an evil base, or ING can use it as… well you get the point…:-)
- The underground tunnel complex. Also works for moon based evil.
- Looks like a sail boat to the casual observer, but it is a secret floating base.
- Your own submarine pens.
- Make visitors climb stone monoliths, impressive.
- Tell me this would not be a great evil base. You blend in, and the US gives you subsidies.

An epic collection – thanks! As you have included the subsidized evil wind turbine – you might want to look into floating wind turbines. I call it a crossover between a wind turbine and a zeppelin – with a touch of steampunk: http://inhabitat.com/floating-wind-turbines/
