More Crossovers

Crossovers, also called “mash-ups” are where you take two or more separate stories, ideas, etc. and put them together as one, usually intended to be in a funny way.  This is a recurring post on this blog site.  To see previous ones, type “crossover” into the Search box on the Home page.  Enjoy!

Dr. Who Crossovers

I had a wonderful time at the Dickens’ High Tea in Tucson Arizona today, sponsored and hosted by the Tucson Steampunk Society.  Jocelynn Woolf is so good at putting together events, along with all the other great Steampunkers there.  At my table was a young lady named Alexis who is a Whovian.  In her honor, I am posting some Dr. Who crossovers.  Crossovers, or mash-ups, take two or more separate stories, ideas, etc., and put them together.  For more crossovers, go to my home page, go to the search box, and search for “crossovers” and it should pull up my previous posts.  I know the Van Gogh Starry Night Crossover post was very popular.  Here is to you Alexis!

Lightsaber Crossovers

Crossovers or mash-ups are where you take one show, movie, theme, book, etc, and mix it up with another one.  From time to time I post Crossovers.  If you search “crossover” at the home page you can find others.  The Van Gogh Starry Night Crossover post was very popular.  So, without further adieu, lightsaber crossovers:

More Crossovers – All Van Gogh A Starry Night

Again, crossovers are where you mix two or more things that are not normally together.  For instance, two separate comic book characters or TV series mix characters in an episode.  These are all Vincent Van Gogh crossovers from his famous painting, A Starry Night, one of my favorite paintings ever.

Funny Crossovers

A crossover is when one story, character, book, movie, or concept is mixed with another.  Sometimes comic books will do crossovers, sometimes TV shows on the same network do the same to boost ratings or do a tie in with another show.  Other times, people do it just to be funny.  Examples:

Star Wars meets Star Trek. Spock much more impressive that Luke.

Again, Spock more impressive than Luke.

Yoda tries to crossover from Spock, “Logical, it is not.”

Indiana Jones meets Star Wars. Who would not pay to see Chewy pull the arms off some Nazis?

Anime Angels

Mordor, the Unhappiest Place on Earth. You simply cannot just walk in.

HP Lovecraft’s Cthulhu meets the Presidential Election. Why Choose the Lessor of Two Evils When you can choose The Greatest Evil?

Blade, kills Vampires better than Abe Lincoln.

But Abe Lincoln still fun to watch.

Cheers!

The Tardis Clock – What Time Does it Keep?

For Dr. Who fans this will make sense, for the rest of you, feel free to skip this post.  I came across an item for sale, a Tardis Clock.  The only problem is, since Dr. Who is a Timelord, and pops all over the place/space/time continuum, what kind of time would it keep?  Does the year move all over, due the hands instantly move to another time?  Do they move both directions, pause, then move again at random?
